This is the final video from highway 1093 and we continue on from part 3 south to Phu Tawan Village and finish at the lovely mountainside Phu Fah Sawan resort that I highly recommend. Not sure if ‘Tawan’ and ‘Sawan’ are the same in Thai but with different English spelling depending on source.
Heading south means Laos is to your left and Thailand to the right. The road goes along the Thai side and there are no views of Laos as such unless you climb/hike up to a higher vantage place but looking to your right affords fantastic views of mountainous northern Thailand.
Here is a collection of photos of my two days along highway 1093 which obviously shows the beauty of the place more than the POV video which are more for the nerdy bike guys:

Map of the route:
Ride carefully and always within your ability. The video shows speed (it is not completely accurate and has some inconsistencies), elevation graph, longitude and latitude, time and date, distance along the route and a squiggly line representing the road with a dot showing the current location. This video was shot in December 2014 and roads in Thailand do change over the years, a once pristine section of tarmac can degrade and likewise a bad section can be resurfaced and become as smooth as silk!
