Sunday bike ride down part of highway 2 ended up at the Oponae bridge over the Waioeka river. I whipped out the trustee Sony PCM-D100 to capture the tranquil river atmosphere only for three gunshots to ring out. They pierce the atmosphere at around 35 seconds into the recording and the tail of the gunshots ring off the hills all round. A pig hunt I presume, hopefully not some murder! It was quite windy so apologies for the low end wind rumble at times.
